Content for your industrywithin the rules that apply there

A Shopify store needs different videos than a skincare brand or a SaaS company. Each industry page covers typical goals, formats that fit, the US advertising rules to keep in mind and the most common mistakes.

Why your industry shapes the content

Which videos and photos work depends mostly on what your customers want to know before they buy and on the advertising rules that apply to your product.

A skincare brand has to show texture and application without promising results it cannot back up. A food brand cannot make health claims it has no evidence for. An app has to show the real features and the real price. That is why every project starts with two questions: what is allowed in your category, and what convinces your buyers.

Four industries at a glance

Each page lists typical clients, formats that fit, US rules to know and a price example from our packages.

Ecommerce and DTC

Shopify stores, direct to consumer brands and Amazon sellers: videos for ads, product pages and listings, with variations to fight ad fatigue.

Beauty and skincare

Skincare, haircare and makeup brands: application, texture and first impressions, with every claim kept within what you can substantiate.

Food and beverage

Food, snack and beverage brands: recipes, taste tests and unboxing, without health claims you cannot support.

Apps and software

Consumer apps, SaaS and B2B software: screen recordings with a person on camera, app install ads and content for LinkedIn.

About the legal notes on these pages

The notes on US rules describe what generally applies and are no legal advice. If you advertise cosmetics with performance claims, food or supplements with health claims, or anything regulated by the FDA, have a US advertising attorney review your claims before you publish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which industries does FNLY Social work with in the US?

FNLY Social creates content for US ecommerce and DTC brands, beauty and skincare brands, food and beverage brands, and apps and software. We also take on other product categories when videos or photos help people decide to buy.

Does UGC work for products that need explaining?

Yes, often especially well, because a person can demo the product calmly and answer typical questions on camera. For software we use screen recordings, for technical products close-up demos.

Do you know the advertising rules in my industry?

We know the common US rules, such as the FTC Endorsement Guides, the FTC rule on fake reviews and the FDA line between cosmetics and drugs, and we write scripts accordingly. This is no legal advice, so we recommend an attorney review sensitive claims before you publish.

Can I get industry exclusivity?

Yes, for a fee. For 30 % on top of the package price we agree on industry exclusivity for 3 months. The quote spells out exactly what it covers.

Do you shoot on location in the US?

No. FNLY Social produces in its own studio in Germany, so you ship your product to us. Shipping is DDP, which means you cover shipping, duties and import taxes.

Do you have case studies from my industry?

We publish references only once clients agree to be named. Until then, we walk you through how we would set up a project for your product in the intro call.
